1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VerifyHQ ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses or uses the Service.

2. Description of Service

VerifyHQ provides email verification, deliverability scoring, and list cleaning services via a web dashboard, API, and integrations. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@verifyhq.io if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Verify email addresses obtained without proper consent or in violation of applicable law.
• Send spam, phishing, or unsolicited bulk communications using verified data.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service or its results without written permission.
• Use the Service for any purpose that is illegal or prohibited by these Terms.

5. Verification Credits & Billing

The Service operates on a credit-based system. Credits are consumed per email verified. Subscription plans renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Add-on credit packs do not expire. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

6. API Usage

API access is provided under your account's rate limits and plan allowances. You must not share API keys publicly, exceed documented rate limits, or use the API in a manner that degrades service for other users. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend API access for abuse.

7. Data Ownership & Privacy

You retain full ownership of the data you submit. We do not sell, share, or retain your email lists beyond processing. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you confirm that you have the right to submit the data you provide for verification.

8. Accuracy Disclaimer

While we strive for the highest possible accuracy, email verification involves inherent limitations (greylisting, temporary server issues, catch-all domains). We do not guarantee 100% accuracy. Results are provided "as is" and should be used as one factor in your email sending decisions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VerifyHQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VerifyHQ, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation or, if necessary, binding arbitration.
